Simple add-on to Deactivate Confluence users who left organization and remove license groups (e.g. confluence-users) for inactive users.

This add-on provides:

    • Option to choose Directory for user deactivation
    • Option to process/restrict user deactivation specific to group
    • Option to configure schedule to run user deactivation
    • Option to skip specific Jira users for user deactivation
    • Option to remove specific Jira groups for Deactivated users (or even without deactivating users)
    • Option to rename Deactivated user to {username}_inactive_yyyyMMdd
    • Helps to reduce license count, removing Jira license groups (e.g. jira-users) for Inactive Users
    • Beside default Jira supported user directories,
    • Useful REST APIs
      • Get Deactivated users
      • Get Active Users Never Login created before N days
      • Get Active Users Not active last N days
      • Remove Specific groups for User
      • Remove All groups for User
      • Deactivate User
      • Reactivate User


QUICK START STEPS

Here is Quick Start Steps to start using this plugin.


STEP-1

Go to System General Configuration > Click Manage Inactive Users

Note:

  • Refer this document on how to Create Jira Delegated LDAP Directory
  • Processing Group is advantage, it gives flexibility to process users from specific group (e.g confluence-users) for user de-activation


STEP-2

Go to System General Configuration > Scheduled Jobs

Default schedule.


STEP-3

To Debug Manage Inactive Users App:

Go to System General Configuration > Logging and profiling > Add New Entry

Class/Package Name: com.tse.confluence.deactivateusers.plugin
Level: Debug

Click Add.
